Dear Fellow Republicans,
I want to take this opportunity to share with you a recent decision my family and I have made. After much prayer and encouragement, I have decided to enter the race and seek the Republican nomination for S.C. Senate District 3. I want to put forth the same dedication and leadership that Senator Waldrep has provided Anderson County in Columbia.
The recent economic downturn only emphasizes the lack of priorities regarding education and healthcare in our state and how desperately the system needs to be reformed.
Our families are burdened with even more taxes to sustain the same old problems. The free spending of tax dollars is always on the rise, while abuse and fraud run rampant. As a pharmacist, I see waste in our healthcare system every single day. We have good schools and great teachers, but we must allow the parent to be the final authority when it comes to their child’s education.
We must find a better way to cut waste in government and preserve our traditional family values!
I wanted to share my decision with you because I want you to be a part of this important opportunity to bring about real reform in the way we do business in Columbia. I am very optimistic about the future of South Carolina, and I am willing to commit the time and energy needed to make a difference in our government.
This campaign will be difficult. There is a tremendous amount of work do in order to get our message of reform out to everyone. I hope you can help with a contribution or volunteer your time and energy. I look forward to seeing you during the next several months of this campaign.
